ANNUAL WINTER FAMILY CONCERTS
Last Friday, Kuwait Music Academy held a winter parade of musical talents. We like family and friends gatherings. Tradition doesn't allow us to omit holidays, anniversaries, and, first of all, our children's events. Such events cannot be postponed. Children cannot wait.
Our children are the most important to us. They expect us to enjoy and be proud of their first steps as well as their further achievements. They eagerly await our interest and recognition.
Let Us Meet & Play
Winter Concerts at KMA have become a tradition. There is a unique family atmosphere there. Music, to truly come alive, requires both a player and a listener. From family, friends, colleagues - to listen to. Playing in front of listeners is more difficult but much more satisfying. It teaches us to appear and to share something with people. This also needs to be studied. Life is a social form of existence. The ability to perform is so necessary in further life.

The Joy of Small and All
KMA teaches students of every age and level. It's so sweet to see small kids. They are clambering onto the piano stool or clutching a tiny violin and bow. Sometimes they are very moved, sometimes confident and joyful. Always thirsty for our approval. Older performers try to convey their sensitivity and skills to us through well-known melodies and rhythms. They also care about recognition.

It is a great joy and satisfaction to observe the smaller and greater successes of the talents and efforts of our youth in seven consecutive concert sessions running the whole day, from 9 am till 9 pm. For the entire large and friendly audience and especially for their teachers. They also often accompany the performances.
Let Us Play Together
Since last year, the exceptionally successful concerts of KMA teachers have become a new feature. But every school grows with its students. This school year, the KMA Orchestra is being formed under the baton of Viktor Shramko, thanks to his enormous efforts and the support of the whole KMA.

The first public performance was the highlight of the Gala Concert. The Orchestra began its public life with an esteemed salute of the Kuwaiti National Anthem during their highly successful presentation, including classics like Vivaldi and Haydn and two entertaining transcriptions.
Later, the Gala Concert continued with talented soloists, starting from the very good small pianists: Mohammed Ghazal & Reyna Philip and ending with amazing older young people – Kuwaiti Yousef Al Khulaif (very musical Ravel) and Danah Ahmed Rabeea (brilliant Chopin). She won last year two 1st Prizes at Kuwaiti and Bahraini Int'l Music Competitions.

Excellent pianists, vocalists, guitarists, percussionists, violinists, or flutists – all deserved audience congratulations and appreciations.

By Fruits You Will Know...
Teaching has something in common with gardening. It seeds or fruits growing proudly here and there. The further fate of our students was mentioned in several reports in Arab Times from subsequent Kuwaiti Music Competitions and Festivals. They graduated from great universities and act around the world. We're so proud of them. Let's remember them.
Donia Jarrar in California (scores of her opera about Palestinian Women are deposited in the Congress Library), Magda Boukanan (in Canada - Montreal University), Feifei Li - UK Royal Academy, Firas Barber in Paris, Patil Zakarian performs successfully from Brazil to Amsterdam...
And the latest: Nigel Rosario - great success at Belmont University in Nashville, US. He shares on Facebook how much studies under Mr. Karol at KMA helped him to succeed. And he proves his identification with the KMA musical family.
For those who create and lecture our School Family, this is the greatest satisfaction.
Enough words.
Let us play:
J. Haydn – Symphony No. 86 'Surprise', 2 mov. (simplified)
