The Composition Course at Kuwait Music Academy is designed for creative minds who want to write original music across classical, jazz, and contemporary styles—using both traditional notation and modern music technology.

What We Offer

Students will learn how to shape musical ideas into complete pieces by exploring melody, harmony, rhythm, form, and orchestration. The course covers essential classical techniques, jazz harmony and chord progressions, and contemporary approaches to writing music for today’s world. Just as importantly, students will develop their listening skills and musical imagination through analysis and guided creative exercises.

Learn the Music Software

A key part of the course is learning to compose with music software. Students will work with notation programs and digital audio workstations (DAWs) to write, hear, edit, and produce their music. From scoring for instruments to creating mockups and recordings, technology becomes a powerful creative partner.

Whether writing a piano piece, a jazz tune, a chamber work, or a modern hybrid track, students are encouraged to experiment, take risks, and find their own voice.
