Swing, Groove, and Improvise! Jazz Piano Course – Kuwait Music Academy!

The Jazz Piano course at Kuwait Music Academy is designed for students who want to explore the exciting world of jazz—from classic standards to modern sounds.

In this course, students will learn how to read and interpret lead sheets, play jazz chords and voicings, master scales and modes, and develop a strong sense of rhythm, swing, and groove. A big focus is placed on improvisation, helping students learn how to create their own solos with confidence and musicality.

What We Offer

Students will explore jazz harmony, blues, II–V–I progressions, comping techniques, and stylistic elements from swing, bebop, and contemporary jazz. Listening skills and ear training are integrated throughout the course, so students learn not just what to play—but how to listen like a jazz musician.

Whether you’re new to jazz or looking to deepen your skills, this course balances solid technique and theory with creativity, expression, and fun. By the end of the course, students will be able to accompany other musicians, improvise over jazz standards, and bring their own personality to the piano.
