Mr. Ivan is an internationally experienced brass conductor, music educator, and brass instruments specialist whose career has taken him from concert halls and universities across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America to the classrooms and ensembles of Kuwait.

With a background that spans orchestral and choral conducting, contemporary music, and brass performance, Mr. Ivan brings a big-picture musical vision paired with hands-on, practical teaching. He holds a PhD in Historical Musicology, a Master’s degree in Performance, and has founded and developed advanced conducting curricula at the university level, covering orchestral, choral, and ensemble leadership.

As a conductor, Mr. Ivan has served as Music Director and Guest Conductor for orchestras, choirs, and contemporary music ensembles worldwide. His work includes international festivals, world premieres, recordings, and ensemble tours, collaborating with leading composers and musicians. His repertoire ranges from Baroque masterpieces and Romantic symphonies to bold contemporary works.

In addition to the podium, Mr. Ivan is an accomplished euphonium, bass trombone, and tuba player, performing as a soloist and orchestral musician with symphony orchestras and film music ensembles. He knows firsthand what it takes to be a strong ensemble player—and how important the low brass really is!
In the classroom and rehearsal room, Mr. Ivan is known for his energetic, supportive, and clear teaching style. He emphasizes strong fundamentals, listening skills, musical confidence, and teamwork, helping students grow not only as musicians, but as expressive performers.
